NRL world in awe over four-try Sivo stunner

NRL leaders Parramatta have stunned the Cowboys early at Bankwest Stadium with an triple inside 30-minutes at Bankwest Stadium.

It was the Cowboys who got the better start on Friday night, but the Eels soon gained hold on the match through the centre of the park.

Evergreen veteran Michael Jennings continued his season’s impressive form, bagging the Eels’ first of the evening.

But minutes later, it was a clinical play between Clint Gutherson and Maika Sivo that knocked the wind out of the Queenslanders.

Gutherson picked out Sivo with a seamless cut-out pass, which Jennings beautifully let fly over his head for his winger.

From there it was a bread-and-butter four-pointer inside the post to rock Paul Green’s men on the road.

Despite being a mile in, the try was still sent to the bunker which had NRL guru Phil Gould fuming.

“That’s just wearing the bunker out for no reason ,” Gould said.

“To get the second try off the back of the first, that’s a big blow, that’s the one that really gets the oppositions’ attention.”

Minutes later Waqa Blake crashed over for Parramatta’s third of the evening, putting the pressure firmly on the visitors.
